Prepdeck 2.0 and Prepdeck Mini

Prepdeck is a device designed to aid in food preparation and to learn mise en place cooking techniques. It features a series of sealable containers and innovative accessories to reduce the number of tools you need in your kitchen to prepare and cook meals. informal was hired to help redesign the Prepdeck system from the ground up and implement customer feedback from the first iteration of the product. My role was to help identify areas of improvement, create 3D models in Onshape and work directly with our team and manufacturing partner to ensure the final product was perfect. The Prepdeck Mini took the essentials of the new Prepdeck 2.0 system and cut down on the size to make a smaller form factor product better suited for apartments.

My favorite part of this project was redesigning the living hinge on the cutting board to allow for a seamless cutting surface while unfolded, and to provide a fantastic looking product while collapsed. The Prepdeck team had a fantastic vision and attention to detail, and every element of the new products was reimagined and improved upon.
