MEVO START
The Mevo Start is a live streaming camera designed to last over 4 hours and stream to various destinations. It includes three beamforming microphones, a high quality sensor and lens, and optimized Wifi antennas to ensure top notch video streaming.
I worked on Mevo Start from the concept phase and went through dozens of design variations with our Industrial Design and Electrical Engineering teams. I would receive form study models and break them into manufacturable components and work with the Electrical Engineering team to do component layout exercises. After refining the design to its final form, I did a more in depth breakup and design for manufacturing. The final 3D models and PCB component layouts were then passed off to our manufacturing parter.
I worked closely with our manufacturing partner to modify the designs for easy assembly and to ensure the product could withstand drop testing and excessive forces applied to the microphone stand mount. Our team spent weeks in China and Taiwan working directly with our manufacturing partner to finalize the design and refine the part appearance and assembly features.
